Cool! Gary Cohen to do Play-By-Play on Mets TV Network

In a piece of welcome news, SportsNet New York, the Mets' TV Network, has announced that Gary Cohen will be the Mets' play-by-play man on the new network next spring. He will do all spring training and regular season games, as well as other programming for the network. You can read the PDF press release from SNY, if you're so inclined.

This is great news. When I heard that neither Ted Robinson nor Dave O'Brien were going to be doing the telecasts I was wondering where they were going with this. Now if they would get Keith Hernandez to do the color I'd be in heaven. It would be interesting to see if the two of them would get along -- they're two pretty strong personalities. Anyway, I couldn't imagine a better baseball broadcast team than those two.
